What is AHMSI culture?
Even before we wrote a business plan, we decided what kind of company we wanted AHMSI to be. We knew that only the highest level of service would make people want to work with us, so we created a culture that would make our associates feel good about their jobs and themselves, and, in turn, take good care of their customers.
We support our associates and empower them to do their jobs better, but we also respect the need for balance in their personal lives. We take time to celebrate successes, so fun is an important part of everyone’s job at AHMSI. We have a collaborative environment that rewards initiative and performance. At AHMSI, associates are empowered to do what's right for the customers.

Our Associates
Our associates work together to create a unique culture of service and collaboration, all to the benefit of the customers. We believe if our associates are happy, they will make their customers happy too. Empowerment, training and experience are just some of the reasons we’re so successful. We trust our associates to know what’s best for our customers. They’re closest to the customers every day, so we empower them to make decisions for their customers without a lot of red tape. We provide ongoing skills-development and leadership training for our associates through our own learning and development department, and we promote life-long learning through external interventions outside training.
We have outstanding benefits and a collaborative culture that makes people want to spend their careers at AHMSI . The result is that our associates turnover rate is really low, so our customers work with some of the industry’s most experienced professionals.

Associate Engagement
While most companies are still measuring associate satisfaction, we have partnered with the Gallup Organization to measure and manage associate engagement. We conduct a Gallup survey to look at associate engagement and identify behaviors that boost engagement. We share this information with associates, use it to improve our processes and explore its relationship with the results of the customer engagement survey to identify new service opportunities. Out of hundreds of variables, Gallup identified 12 key associate expectations that form the basis for strong engagement.
